Chief Operating Officer

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer or COO to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. You will be the agency’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of the non-profit.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
  • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (Program Staff, Marketing, Development, Finance etc)
  • Provide oversight to the fiscal management and accounting practices of the agency
  • The COO will be responsible for the risk management program and manage all insurance issues
  • This position will be in charge of the Human Resources of the agency
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance
  • Assist CEO in fundraising ventures
  • Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
  • Manage relationships with board members/stakeholders/vendors

Interpreter

The Family Centre’s Centralized Interpreter Service provides both interpretation and translation services to limited or non-English speaking individuals, on behalf of the organizations that request the service.

Responsibilities
  • facilitating the cross-lingual/cultural process
  • helping all participants involved to understand the beliefs and practices of each other
  • providing the cultural and linguistic meaning of the interaction
  • working with the context related to public services, such as healthcare, community services, legal settings, social services, and educational institutions

Youth Connector

The Family Centre is looking for a motivated and highly skilled individual who is interested in challenging frontline social work. The Youth Connector provides community-based support to youth who are lacking permanency.

Responsibilities
  • taking part in frontline social work
  • providing community-based support to the youth
  • supporting the concept of furthering relational, legal, cultural and physical permanency for Children’s Services involved youth and young adults who are disconnected from their families and may be engaged in high-risk activities.
